Tag Along Photography Tour at Owen Springs Reserve

In collaboration with: Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory

Organised by me, in collaboration with Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife and Park Rangers of Owen Springs Nature Reserve and Simpsons Gap Nature Reserve, Central Australia.
I volunteered my time a day long to take tourists to these lovely places and guide them with their photography questions to improve their skills. While the Parks Rangers provided in depth information about all there was to see and photograph. To get awareness of the fragility of the eco system and the importance of Parks and Wild Life to maintain these Nature Reserves. And also to get tourists to come and visit the parks in Central Australia.
In the third year I organised a true photo competition for locals and visitors that tagged along with these tours. To send in their best picture. Judged by me and the Rangers. Media (Local News Paper and ABC Radio invited and the Mayor of Alice Springs handing out the awards to the category winners.
First prize was a tag along trip with me with a 4WD photographing stunning places and get free tutoring for a day. All on a voluntarily based. And initiated by me, out of love for Central Australia and mother Nature. Alone I can’t do much but with the right people combined with my camera skills……. we can achieve a lot!
