NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY THE NETHERLANDS

What started in Australia shooting on multi award winning level with my self developed style, I had to relearn the whole art of night photography in Europe- Netherlands. I am trying to continue in the Netherlands. Though extreme light pollution makes is that I needed to re learn the standard exposure settings. Adapt all settings to each new landscape- situation here in the Netherlands.

This windmill taken 7 years after migrating back to the Netherlands symbolises me mentally arriving in the Netherlands. But with an Australian story to tell. (Pleiades star constellation – Aboriginal dreaming story of the Seven Sisters – right top corner, with Orion the Dutch / Northern Hemisphere Star constellation on the other side and Venus underneath the windmill arm (the bright dot). (Orion and Pleiades are both in the myth/dreaming story where Orion (archery man – Hunter with arrow and bow) seems to be chasing the Seven Sisters and that they were turned into stars to stop him from bothering these 7 virgin sisters so I believe the story line goes)
