Mijn roots van professionele fotografie ligt in de Outback van Centraal Australië waar ik in 2007 gestart ben als professionele allround freelance fotografe. Waar ik veel “remote” werk deed voor (int. en nationale) magazines en lokale staats overheid in gebieden waar de meeste mensen gewoon nooit komen. Wederzijds respect van en voor de inheemse bevolking daar zorgde ervoor dat ik dit soort shoot kon en mocht doen op hun land voor hun projecten. Het heeft jaren geduurd om dit respect te verdienen bij de inheemse bevolking als blanke buitenstaander. Ik geniet er nog elke dag van van de herinneringen die ik heb aan mijn werk daar. Nu tijd om nieuwe herinneringen te maken in Nederland en Europa. 🙂
