Homes had to be evacuated for smoke hazard and respiratory ory reasons and fire getting too close to surrounding farms. Many migrated birds did not survive being in de mids of their breeding season, plants will regenerate the fire crew were explained by rangers managing the park, but insect and small lizards etc will not survive. This for has been most like lit by trash lying around. I have only seen fires and scenes like this in Australia.

Extinguishing the fire, getting control over the fires is insanely difficult. First of all the Forres T’s soil/ ground is made up by peed, which was used to used in the olden days to fire the heather’s in winter. It is extremely flammable especially being dry as a crisp in these long hot dry weeks without rain. Secondly it contains a very dense Forrest inaccessible to the public and the area is knows as a swamp area. No roads in or out. So help from the air force was needed to extinguish the bush fires with water sacks containing around 100.000 litres of water. Depicted in the images below looking rather nice for a drama of this scale, It’s been forecasted/predicted by officials it would take a few decades for this damage to be undone and regenerate
